Meet Our Pastors

Pastor Tom Martin

Pastor John Cooper

Tom Martin was born and raised in Newfane, NY.  Tom saw the Gospel lived out in the lives of his parents and heard the Gospel proclaimed at Ridgewood Bible Church. He gave his life to Christ the end of his junior year in High School and has found the Lord Jesus to be the treasure above all treasures.  Tom received his Bachelor’s Degree in Bible from Philadelphia College of Bible (now Cairn University) and his Masters of Arts in Ministry from Moody Bible Institute.

Tom continues to be overwhelmed by the tender mercy of the Lord Jesus, who has relentlessly pursued him with goodness and steadfast love.  Tom knows the only real credential that he has for ministry is the grace of God in his life.  He finds his call to ministry in John 21 where Jesus said to Peter, “If you love me, feed my sheep.”  Tom is passionate about presenting the Good News of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Along with serving as pastor here at Niagara Community Church, Tom also serves as a Hospice Chaplain in Buffalo.  He has the difficult honor of walking alongside many people on the doorstep of eternity.

He and his wife, Anne, live in Tonawanda.  They have four grown children and five grandsons.  Tom enjoys spending time with his family, bike riding, reading, gardening, wrestling and football.

Pastor John is the Intern Pastor at Niagara Community Church. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Bible with an Emphasis in Pastoral Ministry from Clarks Summit University. He is currently attending seminary in the Masters of Divinity program. Pastor John’s most recent experience in ministry has been at Fort Drum as a Minister of Military ministry. Pastor John is a six-year Army veteran which has led him to minister in Schofield Barrack Hawaii, Fort Drum New York, and Kabul Afghanistan. Pastor John is from the Niagara Falls area and also works as the Director of Development at the Niagara Gospel Mission in Niagara Falls NY. Pastor John’s wife is Elizabeth and they have three sons, John Wayne, Michael and Samuel.

A Note from Pastor John:

“It is a great honor and very humbling to be one of the pastors here at Niagara Community Church. In everything we do as pastors and as a Church we strive to bring glory to our Lord (Romans 11:36). We want every aspect of our worship to Him to be focused on His glory. It is such a joy to be part of this Church and to see the work God is doing in people’s lives, and to grow in my love for them. There is nowhere I would rather be with my family than at a Church that focuses on God’s Word and bringing the light of Christ to our community. Thank You and I hope to see you this Sunday! Soli Deo Gloria.”
